Chris grew up in South Florida, feeling he was wasting his time in school, doodling on his folders wandering where life was going to take him. On New Year’s Day 1996, hungover and in no position to make decisions, he let a friend do a small tattoo on him, a turning point in his life. Tattooing soon absorbed him, completely fascinated, within a couple of weeks he made a machine and began tattooing first himself and then friends. Realizing how difficult the technique of tattooing actually was, he then sought an apprenticeship which furthered his path to becoming a tattoo artist, getting training from professional tattoo artists. Within a few years, Chris became a professional tattoo artist, ready to use the skills he learned. In 2004, he visited San Diego on vacation and was offered a position which relocated him here and he joined the SD Tattoo team in 2018.
Chris loves tattooing just about anything. He especially enjoys subjects taken from the natural world, Japanese influenced work, and art with a palette that ranges from deep earthy tones to bright, poppy colors.
My goal is to create dynamic, unique pieces that reflect the client’s vision and conform to the flow of the body.
